Presenting CORNETO at EMBL Heidelberg

Just got back from the AI and Biology Symposium at EMBL Heidelberg! I had the chance to present a preliminary version of CORNETO and got some really helpful feedback.

The event brought together a fantastic lineup of speakers. Just to name a few: Michael Bronstein gave a talk on geometric deep learning for protein design, Caroline Uhler spoke about causal representation learning, and Mihaela van der Schaar presented work on discovering causal mechanisms in biomedical data.

It was also a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues and meet new folks working at the intersection of AI and biology. I particularly enjoyed chatting with Caroline Uhler about recent work on causal discovery, and about the very interesting Cancer Immunotherapy Data Science Grand Challenge she’s organizing.
