Boston visit and MIA Seminar at the Broad Institute
I am back from a really enriching visit to Boston, where I had the opportunity to speak at the Models, Inference & Algorithms seminar at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and share some of our recent work. It was also a great chance to spend time in person with many talented people.
I am very grateful to Caroline Uhler for inviting me to speak, and to Orr Ashenberg for organizing the visit. I have followed the MIA seminar series for a long time and have learned a lot from it, so it meant a lot to participate as a speaker.
Many thanks also to Douglas Lauffenburger and Peter Sorger for their hospitality and for inviting me to talk at their group meetings at MIT Biological Engineering and Harvard Medical School, to Olga Vitek’s group at Northeastern University for the visit and discussions, and to Lenore Cowen for hosting me for a colloquium at Tufts University.
Beyond the talks, one of the things I enjoyed a lot was the discussions with students, staff, and colleagues along the way. I am thankful to everyone who took the time to tell me about what they are working on and discuss ideas together.
I look forward to continuing these discussions and exploring future collaborations!
